Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist setting in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and creating a positive, engaging learning environment.
The RoleAs an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that are tailored to the individual needs and abilities of each pupil. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, pastoral staff and other professionals to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally.
The role may involve supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD, complex needs, behavioural difficulties and learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual pupil needs.
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
- Develop positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Manage behaviour effectively using positive and consistent strategies.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and wider support staff.
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and individualised learning plans where required.
- Maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
