Are you a highly analytical individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to quickly understand and interpret large amounts of written information?
We are currently recruiting for a Consultation Response Analyst to join a high-profile regulatory organisation on a temporary basis, supporting an important public consultation project.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in research, regulation, policy or qualitative analysis to gain valuable experience within a professional regulatory environment.
The RoleWorking as part of a small team of analysts, you will play a key role in reviewing and analysing responses to a public consultation. You will be responsible for identifying common themes, trends and issues within responses and accurately recording your findings.
Following an initial period of training, you will develop and apply a structured coding framework to consultation responses. This will involve carefully reading responses line by line, categorising the points raised and creating both qualitative and quantitative records of your analysis.
You will also be expected to recognise when responses require further consideration or review by subject matter experts.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyse written responses to a public consultation.
- Identify recurring themes, trends, issues and patterns within responses.
- Develop and apply a coding framework to categorise consultation feedback.
- Accurately record findings and contribute to the overall analysis of consultation responses.
- Use Microsoft Word to review and assess responses and Microsoft Excel to record and manage results.
- Work collaboratively within a small team of analysts, under the guidance of experienced staff.
- Attend regular team working days in Bristol, particularly during the first 1-2 weeks of the assignment.
- Complete training and practical exercises to develop the skills and knowledge required for the role.
- Develop an understanding of the organisation, its regulatory role and the specific consultation being analysed.
We are looking for someone who is methodical, analytical and comfortable working with detailed written information.
You will need to be able to:
- Read, understand and assimilate complex information quickly.
- Identify key themes and patterns within written material.
- Apply consistent judgement when categorising information.
- Work accurately and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Analyse qualitative information and draw out meaningful findings.
- Work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Manage your workload and deliver accurate work to deadlines.
- Communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues.
Previous experience within research or regulation would be desirable, although it is not essential.
