As a Family Office & Private Client Tax Manager in London, you'll focus on managing complex tax affairs for high-net-worth individuals and internationally connected clients. This role supports entrepreneurs and privately owned businesses, helping to navigate intricate tax matters such as inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, and international assignments.

Its Family Office and Private Client specialists advise business owners, entrepreneurs, landed estates, trustees, family offices and wealthy individuals across their tax affairs.


The wider private client team combines locally based advisers with access to specialists across an extensive international network. Its approach centres on delivering personal, pragmatic and tailored advice, ranging from bespoke tax planning through to wider family office matters and complex international requirements.

Description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced personal or private client tax professional to join a highly regarded Family Office & Private Client team in Bristol.


Predominantly advisory in nature, the position offers exposure to a sophisticated portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, shareholders, landed estates and internationally connected clients. The successful Tax Manager will advise across a broad range of UK and international personal tax matters while developing trusted, long-term client relationships.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied portfolio of complex private clients
  • Providing high-quality personal tax advice across a range of assignments
  • Advising on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax matters
  • Supporting clients with international and cross-border tax considerations
  • Working with entrepreneurs and shareholders of privately owned businesses
  • Identifying opportunities to provide additional advisory support to clients
  • Developing bespoke solutions to complex or one-off tax issues
  • Project managing tax advisory assignments from planning through to delivery
  • Managing deadlines, risk procedures, WIP, billing and cash collection
  • Supporting the performance and career development of junior team members

The role sits within a substantial national Family Office & Private Client operation which currently comprises of nearly 200 professional to thrive with.

Profile

A successful Family Office & Private Client Tax Manager should have:


The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced personal or private client tax professional who enjoys solving complex problems and wants to develop their career further within advisory work.

You may be:


  • ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified
  • An experienced tax professional who has developed expertise through experience
  • Currently working within personal tax, private client tax or a related discipline
  • Experienced in advising a varied portfolio of private clients
  • Comfortable dealing with complex personal tax matters
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A confident communicator capable of building strong client relationships
  • Able to manage assignments independently while contributing to a wider team
  • Interested in coaching and developing partly and newly qualified colleagues
