We are seeking a Procurement Officer for our Government client based in Bristol. This role will be office when required, approx. 2-3 days per month. The Procurement Officer role will be an initial contract until 31/03 paying between £500 - £550/Day Inside IR35.

This role is inside IR35 - Due to the service of the role it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile:

- Develop and implement commercial strategies approval and support contracts.
- Support and develop new contract documentation including seeking legal support and advice as required
- Lead the preparation and negotiation of contracts for acquisition and support phases.
- Liaise with the Single Source Procurement Support (SSPS) and Single Source Advisory Team (SSAT) to ensure compliance with single source regulations.
- Apply for and progress approvals
- Identify and assess the need for exemptions from standard procurement processes.
- Prepare exemption packs, including justifications, for submission to the Secretary of State.
- Prepare documentation
- Manage the tendering process, including drafting and issuing invitations to tender.

- Evaluate supplier bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with project objectives and value for money in accordance
- Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure optimal outcomes.
- Provide commercial advice and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the acquisition and support phases.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of commercial activities and progress to senior stakeholders.
- Seek necessary approvals for Single Source Justifications including internal and legal input
- Support the development of business cases and approval documentation for Category A and B projects.
- Support contract amendments and variations as required.
- Conduct post-Contract Award reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future processes.
