Consultant Paediatric Neurologist (2 WTE Substantive Posts)
We are seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Consultant Paediatric Neurologists to join our dynamic and expanding Paediatric Neurosciences team. These substantive posts represent an exciting opportunity to join a tertiary paediatric neurology service at a pivotal time.
The successful candidates will become part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team providing specialist neurological care to children and young people from across the South West and beyond. We are looking for clinicians who are committed to delivering outstanding patient care and who will contribute to the continued development of specialist neurology services.
The post holders will work alongside consultant paediatric neurologists, specialist nurses, psychologists, therapists, and regional network partners to provide comprehensive inpatient, outpatient and outreach services. Opportunities exist to develop subspecialty interests aligned with service needs and individual expertise, while contributing to education, quality improvement, research and service innovation.
Applications are welcomed from candidates interested in full-time or less-than-full-time working, with flexible job planning arrangements available to support individual circumstances and service needs.
Main Responsibilities
Our Paediatric Neurosciences service delivers specialist care to children and young people with a wide range of neurological conditions across the South West. Working within a multidisciplinary model, the team provides expert assessment, diagnosis and management while maintaining strong links with local and regional healthcare providers.
Through ongoing investment in the workforce and service redesign, we are committed to improving access, enhancing patient experience and delivering high-quality, sustainable paediatric neurology services for the future.
Bristol NHS Foundation Trust brings together more than 28,000 staff to deliver over 160 clinical services across thirteen hospital locations, operating from three main sites at Southmead, Bristol city centre and Weston.
With an annual turnover of £2.3 billion, we are now one of the largest NHS trusts in the United Kingdom. Our hospitals are spread across Bristol and Weston, join us and you can enjoy the very best of both worlds; city living within a stone’s throw of the countryside or beside the seaside, both with easy access to all that the South West has to offer.
Bristol NHS Foundation Trust values all people as individuals.
