Site Manager - #2156600

Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager / Finishing Manager to join a major residential development in Bristol.

The role will focus heavily on the internal finishing stages of a large apartment scheme, coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors through the final stages of construction and ensuring apartments are completed to a high standard and ready for handover.

This is a hands-on site management position suited to an experienced Site Manager or Finishing Manager who has previously worked on large apartment, residential or high-density developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the internal finishing works across multiple apartments and communal areas.
• Coordinate subcontractors and finishing trades on a daily basis.
• Manage the programme through the final stages of construction.
• Monitor quality, workmanship and progress.
• Coordinate second-fix, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, decoration and other internal finishes.
• Manage snagging and ensure defects are addressed promptly.
• Coordinate apartment inspections and handovers.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team.
• Ensure subcontractors are working to programme and agreed quality standards.
• Monitor health and safety across the site.
• Review drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Resolve day-to-day site issues and coordinate trades to maintain progress.
• Maintain accurate site records and progress updates.
• Drive the project towards successful completion and handover.

About You

The successful candidate will have proven experience managing internal finishes on large residential or apartment developments.

You will need to be confident coordinating multiple trades, managing subcontractors and driving quality and programme during the finishing and handover stages.

Essential Requirements

• Previous Site Manager or Finishing Manager experience.
• Strong residential/apartment construction background.
• Experience managing internal finishes and handover.
• SMSTS – essential.
• CSCS – essential.
• First Aid – essential.
• Strong understanding of construction health and safety.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple trades and competing priorities.
