What you'll be doing:
* Answer calls and handle enquiries from the Natural England general enquiries line using the telephony system
* Respond to email and contact form enquiries in a timely, empathetic and professional manner
* Use the Internal Knowledge Base to resolve queries at first contact where possible
* Log enquiries accurately on the eCase database
* Escalate issues to senior colleagues within the Customer Service Team or Natural England teams when needed
* Use Premium Co-pilot to help draft high-quality responses
* Be an exemplar of customer service by delivering consistent standards across all enquiry types
What you'll bring:
* Excellent customer service skills, with the confidence to handle both simple and more complex enquiries
* Experience working in a telephony environment
* Strong problem-solving ability, including the ability to work effectively under pressure
* IT literacy to confidently manage systems and customer information
* Clear communication using Plain English
* A team-first mindset, working collaboratively to support colleagues when escalation is required
Additional information:
* Office-based role at Horizon House, Bristol
* Desirable: previous experience working within a government department
