We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable multi-franchise approved car dealership located in West Bristol, seeking a vehicle service advisor to join their busy service department. The vehicle service advisor at this dealership plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service, supporting the workshop team, and ensuring seamless communication between customers and the workshop. Duties of a Service Advisor:

• Welcome customers into the service department and efficiently book their vehicles for repairs and maintenance
• Liaise extensively with the workshop team to chase work in progress and update customers on repair status
• Upsell additional products and services where appropriate
• Advise customers on minor technical issues and promote service plans to enhance customer satisfaction
• Take payments for completed work accurately and efficiently
• Maintain high standards of customer care and foster positive relationships
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and warranty procedures where applicable

Requirements of a Service Advisor:

• Previous experience as a service advisor or similar role within the automotive industry is highly desirable
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• IT proficiency, with preferred experience in Pinewood Pinnacle or similar dealership management systems
• Customer service-oriented attitude, with an understanding of vehicle mechanics advantageous
• Ability to influence and advise customers effectively
• Knowledge of warranty procedures and liaising with vehicle manufacturers is beneficial but not essential
• Confident relationship builder with a proactive approach
