Talent Chief are working with a leading international recruitment business looking for a Principal Recruitment Consultant to join their Renewable Energy team in Bristol, focusing predominantly on the German and wider European market.

You'll be joining their top-performing Renewable Energy team in Europe, working with an established client base while continuing to develop new business across one of Europe's biggest energy markets.

The role

You'll specialise in recruiting across the European Renewable Energy market, working with major energy producers, developers, investors and infrastructure businesses.

This is a 360 recruitment role with a strong emphasis on business development, client relationships and commercial growth.

You'll be responsible for:

• Managing and developing existing client relationships
• Winning new business across the German and wider European Renewable Energy market
• Identifying and developing new accounts
• Negotiating terms and closing deals
• Recruiting across mid-to-senior level Renewable Energy positions
• Building long-term relationships with clients and candidates
• Taking ownership of your own revenue and market
• Working closely with an established European Renewable Energy team
• Sharing market intelligence, leads and opportunities across the wider business

The team currently consists of four recruiters, has won Team of the Year twice and is currently running at approximately £13k profit per head.

You'll also have access to established relationships with some of the biggest names in the global energy market.

Who are we looking for?

Ideally, you'll have around 3–5 years of agency recruitment experience with a strong track record of business development and personal billing.

Renewable Energy experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential. Ideally, anyone from a technical recruitment background will be considered.

The business is particularly interested in recruiters who can demonstrate strong commercial ability and are comfortable developing new markets and client relationships.

You'll need:

• Previous agency recruitment experience
• Proven business development ability
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Confidence developing new and existing accounts
• A strong personal billing track record
• A commercial and sales-led mindset
• The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your market
• Ambition to progress and potentially move into leadership

Experience within Renewable Energy, Energy, Engineering, Infrastructure or another technical recruitment market would be useful, but your commercial ability is more important than your technical background.

Speaking an additional European language, particularly German or Italian, would also be highly beneficial given the markets you'll be working across, although this isn't essential.
