Strategy Director

Bristol | Hybrid (2 days to be office based per week - essential)

£60k-£65k

We’re looking for an experienced Strategy Director to take a lead role in shaping brand and communications strategy across a range of exciting projects.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who enjoys getting under the skin of audiences, markets and brands, uncovering the insight that really matters and turning it into clear, compelling strategies that make a difference.

*Note that this is standalone strategy role - for the time being

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and creative and commercial teams, taking projects from the initial brief and research through to strategic development, workshops, creative development and presentation.

About you

You’ll be an experienced strategic planner with a strong track record of developing brand and communications strategies.

Your background could be agency or client-side, but you’ll need to be comfortable operating at a senior level and influencing people across different teams.

Experience within healthcare, veterinary or a similarly sector is essential.

Be comfortable quickly getting to grips with complex subject matter and turning it into clear, engaging and accessible strategic thinking.

Commercially minded and confident challenging a brief when needed.

Take complex information and turn it into simple, engaging and actionable thinking.

International or multi-market experience would be valuable, as would experience working across different channels and emerging digital platforms.

A confident presenter and communicator

Comfortable leading workshops and able to build credibility with senior stakeholders.

Experience using AI to support research, insight or strategic development would be an advantage, but isn’t essential.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead research, insight and strategic planning across a range of projects
• Turn complex information, data and research into clear, commercially focused strategies
• Develop a strong understanding of markets, audiences and competitive landscapes
• Lead projects from initial brief through to delivery
• Plan and facilitate workshops and strategic sessions
• Work closely with creative and wider teams to bring strategy to life
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and act as a strong strategic partner
• Contribute to pitches, new business and growth opportunities
• Present strategic thinking and recommendations confidently to senior audiences
• Support and develop colleagues, sharing your experience and helping others grow
• Help shape and continually improve strategic processes and ways of working
