Finance Administrator

We are seeking a proactive and organised Finance Administrator to join our busy team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in finance, accounts, or cost administration who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with various teams and suppliers. Experience with COINS software is highly advantageous.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Process, review, and monitor invoices, ensuring queries are resolved promptly.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams regarding invoice and cost queries.
  • Chase outstanding credit notes and process Goods Received Notes (GRNs) for plant and materials.
  • Work closely with Operational Managers and Commercial teams to ensure costs are allocated correctly.
  • Maintain subcontractor and cost-related records.
  • Complete cost analysis, balancing, and reconciliations.
  • Reconcile fuel card statements and carry out regular checks.
  • Support with credit card tracking and reconciliation.
  • Process weekly timesheets and liaise with HR and payroll regarding sickness, holidays, and queries.
  • Support the monthly overtime payroll process, including producing spreadsheets for approval.
  • Review and process overhead invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records and systems.
  • Provide general finance, cost, and administrative support as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within finance, accounts, or administration.
  • Experience using COINS software is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office packages.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable liaising with suppliers and colleagues across different departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proactive with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
