Job Title: Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator

Location: Bristol

Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE + Company Vehicle

Job Summary: Fusion People is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join an expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and commercially aware professional to play a key role in pricing and securing projects across a diverse range of works.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quotations and tender submissions, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability. You will work closely with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality proposals and support the ongoing growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed and professional quotations for minor works projects based on client specifications

- Produce tender submissions from drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities for projects valued up to £2 million

- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value and service

- Manage multiple estimates and tender submissions simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met

- Analyse project costs and identify opportunities to maximise profitability while remaining competitive

- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors

- Support the retention of existing clients while helping to identify and secure new business opportunities

- Undertake any additional duties as required to support the business

Skills & Experience

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or similar role

- Relevant degree qualification is desirable but not essential

- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Ability to produce accurate costings in line with client requirements and project specifications

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

- A proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving value
