Assistant Route Planner – Bristol

Our client is looking for an Assistant Route Planner to join their busy waste management and recycling operation in Bristol.

This is a varied role where you will support the daily planning of vehicle routes, coordinate drivers and help ensure collections are completed efficiently and on time.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with daily vehicle and route planning
• Coordinate drivers and scheduled collections
• Take customer bookings via email and telephone
• Answer incoming calls during busy periods
• Update route planning and booking systems
• Deal with changes, cancellations and last-minute requests
• Communicate with drivers, customers and the operations team
• Provide general support to the transport and planning team

About you:

• Organised with good attention to detail
• Confident communicating with customers and drivers
• Good computer skills and able to learn new systems
• Able to work well under pressure in a busy office
• Reliable, proactive and a good team player
• Previous experience in transport, logistics, waste or customer service is an advantage
