Our client is a leading organisation operating within the Construction and Infrastructure sector, delivering major projects and essential services across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an ambitious Indirect Buyer to join their Procurement team and support the delivery of strategic sourcing initiatives across a broad range of indirect spend categories.

Your new role

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities across a diverse range of indirect categories, ensuring value for money, supplier performance, and commercial best practice.

Working closely with key stakeholders across the business, you will support sourcing projects, supplier negotiations, contract management activities, and procurement initiatives that contribute to operational efficiency and business performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced buyer looking to further develop their category management and stakeholder engagement skills within a complex and fast-paced environment.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in a Buyer or Procurement role.
• Experience managing indirect spend categories.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience operating within a regulated, engineering, construction, infrastructure, utilities, or project-based environment would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of procurement best practice and contract management principles.
• CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS is desirable.
