The role

We're looking for a Search & Social Biddable Media Manager to join our Media team in Bristol, helping to plan, buy and deliver multi-channel campaigns for the Armed Forces Recruitment Service (AFRS).

You'll take ownership of paid search and social activity across platforms including Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit and Snapchat. Working across the full campaign lifecycle, you'll be involved from initial brief and planning through to activation, optimisation and post-campaign analysis, making sure activity performs effectively and stays within agreed budgets.

Working closely with colleagues across Media, Strategy, Data, Digital, Creative and Client Service, you'll use performance data and cultural insights to understand what's working and where we can do things differently. A test-and-learn approach will be important, continually looking for opportunities to optimise campaigns and drive better results.

You'll also keep up with changes across search and social platforms, emerging technologies and evolving audience behaviours, bringing fresh thinking back into the team. Alongside managing your own campaigns, you'll support and coach junior colleagues, sharing your knowledge and helping them develop their technical and professional skills.

Who we're looking for

You'll have experience within a media agency planning or buying environment and a proven track record of delivering successful paid search and social campaigns. You'll be confident using Google Ads and a range of social platforms such as Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit and Snapchat, with experience of managing media spend, forecasting and using performance data to inform your decisions.

Experience of planning campaigns that effectively reach 16–24-year-olds is important, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to turn data and cultural insights into practical campaign strategies. You'll be organised, detail-focused and comfortable balancing different priorities in a fast-moving environment.

We're looking for someone who's naturally curious about the changing digital landscape and enjoys testing new ideas to improve performance. Experience of tracking and attribution would be useful, and relevant platform certifications such as Google Ads or Meta Blueprint would be a bonus.
