Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Bristol

Job Type: Full-Time, Long Term (5 days a week), Day to Day Supply

Pay Rate: £95 - £110 per day

Job Overview:

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Bristol. The successful candidates will support primary-aged pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop academically, socially and emotionally. You will work closely with class teachers and SEN teams to provide consistent academic, emotional and practical support.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support primary-aged pupils with SEN and additional learning needs.
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
* Assist pupils with accessing the primary curriculum and classroom learning.
* Support positive behaviour and engagement.
* Work alongside primary teachers and SEN staff.
* Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
* Follow individual support plans and school guidance.
* Maintain safeguarding and professional standards.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children in a primary school or educational setting.
* Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN is required.
* Strong understanding of additional learning needs.
* Calm, patient and supportive approach.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour where required.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
* Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
