Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Bristol

Job Type: Full-Time, Long Term (5 days a week), Day to Day Supply

Pay Rate: £95 - £110 per day

Job Overview:

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking experienced 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils across schools in Bristol. The successful candidates will provide dedicated one-to-one support to pupils with additional learning needs, helping them access lessons, develop independence and remain engaged throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide dedicated one-to-one support to an individual pupil.
* Support access to classroom learning and activities.
* Assist with emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
* Help pupils develop confidence and independence.
* Follow individual education and support plans.
* Work closely with teachers and SEN staff.
* Support pupils during lessons, break times and other school activities.
* Maintain safeguarding and professional standards.

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
* Previous experience supporting pupils with SEN is required.
* Experience providing one-to-one support is highly desirable.
* Calm, patient and empathetic approach.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to support challenging behaviour where required.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
* Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
