Neon Talent Solutions are proud to be partnering with an international insurance organisation to recruit a Solvency & Financial Reporting Manager on a full-time, permanent hybrid working basis.(3 days per week in the Bristol office)

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance or Regulatory Reporting professional from a Non-Life insurance background to take ownership of Solvency UK and Solvency II reporting across the UK and European business. A qualified actuary is not required - we're looking for strong financial reporting experience, Solvency exposure and the ability to effectively manage and coordinate complex reporting processes.

About the Role of Solvency & Financial Reporting Manager

As Solvency & Financial Reporting Manager, you will take ownership of the planning, coordination and delivery of Solvency UK and Solvency II reporting, ensuring submissions are accurate, well-controlled and delivered to agreed deadlines. Working across Finance, Actuarial, Risk and external audit, you'll manage the reporting process, review and challenge outputs, investigate movements and provide clear financial and regulatory reporting to support senior management and regulatory sign-off. Managing the end-to-end Solvency UK and Solvency II reporting process.

• Coordinating reporting activities across Finance, Actuarial, Risk and wider business functions.
• Reviewing and challenging solvency reporting outputs and investigating key movements.
• Supporting the review of technical provisions, own funds and capital requirements as part of the wider reporting process.
• Preparing high-quality financial and regulatory reporting, documentation and governance packs.
• Working closely with the Head of Group Actuarial, senior management and external auditors throughout the reporting cycle.
• Ensuring appropriate controls, documentation and governance are maintained across the reporting process.
• Driving continuous improvement across reporting processes, controls and delivery.
• Keeping abreast of Solvency UK and Solvency II regulatory developments and their impact on reporting requirements.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday

What You Will Bring

We're looking for an experienced Finance, Financial Reporting or Regulatory Reporting professional from a non-life insurance environment who combines strong reporting capability with experience of Solvency UK and/or Solvency II. A qualified actuarial background is not required. More important is your ability to manage complex reporting processes, coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure high-quality, accurate and well-controlled delivery.

• Strong financial and/or regulatory reporting experience within a non-life insurance environment.
• Experience or good working knowledge of Solvency UK and/or Solvency II reporting.
• Experience managing or coordinating complex reporting processes involving multiple stakeholders.
• A good understanding of solvency reporting, including areas such as technical provisions, own funds and capital requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to review outputs, investigate movements and identify potential issues.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong governance and controls mindset.
• Experience working with senior management, auditors and cross-functional teams.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurately against reporting deadlines.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using financial reporting and analytical tools.
