Job scope:
We are looking to recruit a Health and Social Care Trainer to join us at Catalyst Care Group. Travel between the services and locations is required as part of the role.
The Health and Social Care Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programmes tailored to the needs of both colleagues and clinicians. The primary goal is to enhance skills and competencies, ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and professional development. The Health and Social Care Trainer will collaborate with various departments to identify training needs and develop strategies to address skill gaps.
Additionally, the Health and Social Care Trainer will maintain accurate training records, develop e-learning modules, and report outcomes to leadership. The role focuses on clinician-centred practices and a person-centred approach, ensuring that training supports the diverse and complex needs of individuals in care.
Training topics include medication awareness, epilepsy awareness, positive behaviour support, manual handling, and basic life support. Continuous personal learning and development are encouraged to keep training inclusive and aligned with the organisation’s growth and the needs of those it supports.
Do you have?
Minimum Level 3 AET (Award in Education and Training) and evidence of delivering health and social care training
Level 3 Assessor qualification, or willingness to work towards it, along with a Care Certificate or readiness to obtain it
Experience working within a health and social care setting, including delivering and assessing the Care Certificate
A valid Train the Trainer certification in core subjects would be advantageous
Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, autism, or learning disabilities is a plus
UK Driving Licence
