Contract: Permanent Hours: 4 days
Salary: £(phone number removed) per annum pro rata + £2,116 pro rata night-working allowance

We are currently recruiting Mental Health Crisis Workers to join an established 24/7 mental health crisis service in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about mental health, has a person-centred approach and wants to make a genuine difference to individuals experiencing periods of acute mental health crisis.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting individuals through crisis while helping them access appropriate ongoing support and community resources.

The role

As a Mental Health Crisis Worker, you will:

  • Build positive and therapeutic relationships with individuals experiencing mental health difficulties
  • Support a caseload and contribute to effective care planning
  • Provide person-centred support during periods of acute mental health crisis
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers and wider support networks
  • Liaise with GPs, secondary mental health services and other agencies
  • Support individuals with their recovery and ongoing wellbeing
  • Connect people with appropriate community resources
  • Work closely with colleagues within a multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in clinical and management supervision and reflective practice
  • Provide support as part of a 24/7 service, including night working

About you

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reflective and committed to improving the lives of people experiencing mental health difficulties.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience working within mental health or a related support setting
  • Good knowledge of the needs of people experiencing mental health difficulties
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build trusting and therapeutic relationships
  • An understanding of care planning and recovery-focused support
  • The ability to work effectively with multiple professionals and agencies
  • A calm, considered and person-centred approach when supporting people in crisis

Experience of working with individuals experiencing acute mental health crisis would be advantageous, as would experience of connecting people with community-based services.

However, we would encourage you to get in touch even if you're unsure whether your experience fully meets the criteria. We're happy to have an informal conversation about your background and the opportunity.

What you'll receive

You'll be joining a supportive and collaborative team, with access to:

  • Comprehensive induction and training
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Regular management and clinical supervision
  • Reflective practice
  • Support from an experienced operational team and line manager
  • The opportunity to develop your experience within a specialist mental health crisis service
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference to people at a particularly important point in their lives

Interested?

If you're looking for a rewarding role where you can use your skills and experience to support people through mental health crisis, we'd love to hear from you.

For an informal and confidential discussion about the position, please get in touch with Ellie at DK Recruitment on (phone number removed).
