Regional Sales Manager – Heavy Plant / Construction Equipment Location: South West England – Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire & Bristol
Salary: Circa £60,000 DOE + commission + company car
A leading supplier of heavy plant, construction equipment and specialist machinery is looking to recruit a Regional Sales Manager to take ownership of an established South West territory.
This is a field-based sales role focused on developing new business, growing existing accounts and building long-term customer relationships across sectors including recycling, waste management, construction, quarrying and material processing.
The Role

• Manage and develop sales across the South West territory.
• Generate new business while developing existing customer accounts.
• Sell a range of heavy plant, recycling machinery and specialist equipment.
• Manage the full sales process from prospecting through to closing.
• Conduct customer meetings, site visits and machinery demonstrations.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend the right equipment solutions.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and work closely with internal service, engineering and support teams.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience within field-based, territory or regional sales.
• Strong new-business and account-development experience.
• Experience within heavy plant, construction equipment, recycling machinery, material handling, agricultural machinery, quarrying equipment or a closely related capital-equipment sector.
• Candidates from a genuinely transferable machinery or technical sales background will also be considered.
• Confident managing your own geographical sales territory.
• Strong relationship-building and commercial skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
