Senior Python Developer | £500-£550p/day (Outside IR35) | 6 months | Bristol (open to being on site 1/2 a month) | MySQL, SQLAlchemy, Pandas, FastAPI. Jira and Git

Our client's Engineering team is looking for a Senior Python Developer to lead a programme of client reporting, operational, and API enhancement work

Rate: £500-£550p/day (Outsie IR35)
Location: Bristol, 6 months

This is a hands on contract role and these are the three main areas:

• PDF client report enhancements
• Compliance and operational reporting
• API enhancements and migrations

You'll work closely with the client's in-house Engineering team and a Mid Python Developer!

• Owning delivery of features and improvements across reporting, operational tooling, and APIs
• Designing and building robust, well-tested Python code against MySQL-backed data using SQLAlchemy
• Using Pandas for more complex data manipulation and transformation in reporting workflows
• Architecting and extending FastAPI services, including planning API migrations
• Working within the team's existing Git workflow and tracking work through Jira

• MySQL - strong experience with query design, optimisation, and relational data modelling
• SQLAlchemy - solid production experience using it as an ORM/toolkit, including more complex query patterns
• Pandas - confident using it for non-trivial data manipulation and reporting workflows
• FastAPI - proven experience designing and building APIs with FastAPI, ideally including migration or modernisation work
• Jira and Git
