An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanning Team Leader to join a growing financial planning business during a period of significant expansion.
Leading a team of approximately 16 Paraplanners across Bristol, Cardiff and Truro, you will be responsible for driving productivity, maintaining exceptional quality standards, and supporting the ongoing development of the paraplanning function.
This role is ideal for a technically strong Paraplanner with previous leadership, mentoring, supervisory or management experience who is passionate about developing people and creating high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a multi-site team of Paraplanners.
- Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews and development plans.
- Manage workload allocation, capacity planning and resource management.
- Drive productivity, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure high standards of paraplanning output and report quality.
- Act as an escalation point for complex technical queries.
- Monitor performance through MI and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build strong relationships with Financial Planners, Client Support teams and key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with FCA requirements and internal processes.
About You
- Previous experience within a Paraplanning role.
- Proven leadership, mentoring, team lead or management experience.
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent).
- Strong technical financial planning knowledge.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to motivate, coach and develop others.
- Organised, proactive and commercially minded.
Location
Ideally based within commuting distance of Bristol, attending the office 2-3 days per week. Applications from Cardiff-based candidates are also welcomed, with an expectation of regular travel between offices.
