Financial Planning Administration Team Manager
Location: Bristol, Birmingham or Dorset, with travel between offices
Salary: Up to £55,000
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Planning Administration Team Managerto join a growing Wealth Management business, overseeing a team of Administrators across Bristol, Birmingham and Dorset.
You can be based on a hybrid-working policy from any of the three offices, with an expectation to travel between locations approximately once every two weeks, depending on your base. Dorset would typically require a visit once or twice a month, with travel expenses covered.
We are looking for someone based in a location that is suitable for travel to all three sites.
You will initially manage a team of around 11 Administrators, with the potential for this to grow to around 16. Working closely with Managing Directors, Advisers and wider teams, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent client service, operational efficiency and consistent processes across the practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Line managing, mentoring and developing the team.
- Managing workloads and ensuring service levels and deadlines are consistently met.
- Holding regular 1-to-1s, setting objectives and managing performance and appraisals.
- Identifying training and development needs and supporting career progression.
- Recruiting and onboarding new team members.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, workflows and best practice.
- Supporting risk and complaint investigations alongside Compliance.
- Rolling out new processes and training across the team.
- Supporting the integration of acquired businesses and wider ad hoc projects.
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency and excellent client outcomes.
We are looking for someone with strong line management experience within Wealth Management or Financial Planning.
You will ideally have:
- Strong experience managing and developing an Administration or operations team.
- Excellent knowledge of Wealth Management processes.
- Experience with performance management, mentoring and objective setting.
- A proactive approach to process improvement and problem solving.
- The confidence to challenge and influence others.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and a strong client focus.
- An understanding of the FCA regulatory environment and effective risk management.
