FMCG Account Manager

Bristol | Hybrid | Full-time

£40k-£45k + £15k bonus

We’re looking for a FMCG Account Manager to join an exciting and growing beauty/personal care business, to help secure new retail placements.

You can be based anywhere in the UK, with the expectation of being in the South-West office once or twice a month. Travel and expenses will be fully covered. Of course, if you’d like to be office based more often that’s welcome too.

This is a great Account Management opportunity for someone who knows UK retail, enjoys building strong customer relationships and gets a real buzz from growing a business.

Take responsibility for some of the company’s key UK retail customers across beauty, high street, grocery, discount and online, as well as looking for new opportunities to grow sales and distribution.

Ideally, you'll have connections within grocer/FMCG/retail/beauty brands to leverage in order to expanded retail distribution.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing and growing a portfolio of major retail customers
• Building strong relationships with buyers and category teams
• Agreeing plans with customers to grow sales and distribution
• Managing sales, profit, budgets and promotional investment
• Bringing new products to market and making sure launches land well
• Planning promotions and working with retailers to maximise results
• Working closely with marketing, e-commerce and supply chain teams
• Keeping on top of sales forecasts, stock levels and customer demand
• Spotting new opportunities and keeping an eye on competitors
• Negotiating pricing, promotions and commercial agreements

About you

You’ll have previous experience managing major retail/grocer accounts, ideally within Beauty, Cosmetics, Personal Care or FMCG.

You’ll be commercially minded, confident with numbers and comfortable having conversations with senior buyers. You’ll also be someone who builds relationships naturally and knows how to get things done.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone ambitious, hands-on and hungry to make an impact.
