Mission:

As a Business Development Manager in our Industry Business Unit, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth by supporting and developing our Industry distributor relationships. You will identify new business opportunities, enhance existing partnerships, and work collaboratively to achieve sales targets and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

    • Distributor Support: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, providing them with the tools and resources necessary for success.
    • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, translating insights into actionable strategies.
    • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales plans that align with business objectives and maximize distributor performance.
    • Training and Development: Provide distributors with support on product offerings, sales techniques, and marketing strategies to enhance their capabilities.
    • Performance Monitoring: Monitor distributor performance and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with company goals.
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with the wider Schneider Electric business, leveraging relationships within your accounts to identify opportunities to cross-sell additional Schneider Electric products and services, while working closely with colleagues across all business areas nationwide.
    • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on distributor performance, market trends, and sales forecasts for management review.
    • Traveling Appointment Role: Conduct eight customer interactions per week, including a minimum of six face-to-face meetings (40% customer-facing time).
Skills & Attributes:

    • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the industry sector.
    • Industry automation experience in the fields of Variable Speed Drives, PLCs, HMIs, or other Schneider Electric-relevant technologies.
    • Strong understanding of distributor management and channel sales strategies.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and market trends to support informed decision-making.
    • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and passionate about driving business growth.
    • Fluency in English.

For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 57,600 - GBP 86,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United Kingdom. Our pay ranges are determined by the local market.
