Estimator - Retail Refurbishment & Fit Out

A leading specialist contractor is looking to recruit an Estimator to join their busy and growing Pre-Construction team based in Bristol.

Working with some of the UK's best-known retail supermarket brands, you'll be involved in delivering fast-track refurbishment and fit-out projects nationwide. The Role

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a variety of retail refurbishment and fit-out projects. Working closely with the commercial, operational and pre-construction teams, you'll play a key role in securing future business and maintaining strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners.

Typical responsibilities will include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Carrying out take-offs and measurements
• Assessing project risks and opportunities
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and internal teams throughout the tender process
• Supporting value engineering initiatives and cost-saving proposals
• Assisting with handovers to delivery teams upon project award

About You

The company is keen to speak with candidates who have estimating experience within construction, refurbishment or fit-out environments.

Ideally you will have:

• Previous experience as an Estimator, Assistant Estimator or Quantity Surveyor
• Experience within retail, commercial refurbishment or fit-out projects would be advantageous
• Strong numerical and commercial awareness
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
• A proactive and collaborative approach
