An opportunity is available for a Supported Housing Officer / Customer Support Coordinator with a housing provider delivering supported accommodation and housing-related services to adults across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

The role provides frontline support across two six-bedroom supported housing services, working with adults aged 18+ who may have additional needs, including mental health support needs. The focus is on helping residents develop independent living skills, prepare for employment and successfully move into longer-term accommodation, alongside day-to-day housing management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly welfare checks and monthly support plan reviews.
  • Provide person-centred, housing-related support to promote independence and employment readiness.
  • Maintain accurate electronic case notes, support plans and service records.
  • Monitor rent, Housing Benefit and service charges, supporting residents with payment issues.
  • Liaise with partner agencies to support successful move-on and access to grants.
  • Assess prospective residents and coordinate lettings, move-ins and voids.
  • Complete routine health and safety checks, including fire alarm testing.
  • Manage your own diary and effectively divide your time between two services.
  • Work autonomously while maintaining a strong focus on resident wellbeing and safeguarding.
About You
  • Previous experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally in supported housing, homelessness or a housing-related setting.
  • Person-centred approach with the ability to encourage independence.
  • Strong IT and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage your own workload and travel between locations.
  • Knowledge of Housing Benefit, rent monitoring, service charges, voids and lettings is desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS required due to lone-working responsibilities; an existing recent certificate is preferred.
  • Driving licence and access to transport desirable but not essential.
Benefits
  • £20.00 per hour via Umbrella
  • 36 hours per week
  • Temporary assignment 2-3 months with potential to extend
  • Immediate start available
  • Fully site-based role across Bristol and South Gloucestershire
  • Flexible working patterns may be considered, including 8am–4pm, 9am–5pm, varied daily hours or a nine-day fortnight, subject to service requirements
  • Remote interview available

If you have experience supporting vulnerable adults and are available for an immediate temporary opportunity, apply now or contact Olivia at for more information.
