An established and busy transport operation is looking for an experienced Night Transport Planner to join its Bristol team.

This is a key role responsible for coordinating drivers, deliveries and collections throughout the night, ensuring jobs stay on schedule and customers receive an excellent service.

• Salary up to £38,000
• Car allowance - total earning potential up to £45,000
• Annual salary review and bonus

• Coordinate and communicate with multiple drivers
• Liaise with ports and customers regarding deliveries and collections
• Book port delivery slots
• Monitor ETAs and proactively manage delays
• Reroute and reorganise jobs when required
• Update driver information and jobs using TOPS
• Check and allocate PODs accurately
• Keep customers updated on delays
• Resolve operational issues quickly and efficiently

• Previous experience as a Traffic Operator, Transport Planner or similar - essential
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong knowledge of UK geography
• Confident dealing with drivers, customers and ports
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Able to work independently and on a 4 on, 4 off night shift pattern
