We are looking for reliable, confident and adaptable education professionals who are interested in working as Cover Supervisors across secondary schools in Bristol.

You could be working across a range of subjects and year groups, supervising classes and ensuring students complete the work provided by their regular teacher.

The role requires someone who can take control of a classroom, communicate instructions clearly, manage behaviour effectively and maintain a focused learning environment.

Supply work can provide the opportunity to work across different schools, build further experience and choose a working pattern that suits your availability.

As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you may be responsible for:

Taking responsibility for classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and clearly communicating instructions to students.
Maintaining an orderly, safe and productive classroom environment.
Managing behaviour confidently and consistently in line with school policies.
Monitoring student progress and engagement during lessons.
Supporting students with their learning where appropriate.
Communicating effectively with teaching staff and school leaders.
Following school procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
