ASSISTANT BRANCH MANAGER – BRISTOL - Are you ready for your next step in optics?

Lunaria Recruitment are looking for a fantastic Assistant Branch Manager to join an established and successful optical business in Bristol.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who already has experience within optics, retail, healthcare or audiology and is ready to take that next step into a leadership role.

We’re looking for someone who is naturally confident, enjoys working with people and loves being part of a team. Someone who can lead by example, support their colleagues and help create a fantastic experience for every customer who walks through the door.

The role

Working closely with the Branch Manager, you’ll be an important part of the leadership team and will help keep the branch running smoothly day to day.

You’ll be supporting the team, helping to drive sales and performance, developing colleagues and making sure the highest standards of customer service are always maintained.

You’ll also step up and take responsibility for the branch when required, so this is a great role for someone who wants to develop their management experience and build a long-term career.

What will you be doing?

• Supporting the Branch Manager with the day-to-day running of the branch
• Leading, motivating and supporting the team
• Helping the team achieve individual and branch sales targets
• Delivering exceptional customer service
• Supporting training, coaching and colleague development
• Helping with performance management
• Managing stock and ensuring the branch looks fantastic
• Supporting local marketing and promotional activity
• Maintaining high operational and customer service standards
• Acting as Branch Manager when required
• Opening and closing the branch when needed

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who has previous experience in optics, retail, healthcare or audiology.

You’ll ideally be:

• Confident and approachable
• A natural team leader
• Experienced in customer service and sales
• Organised and reliable
• Commercially aware
• A great communicator
• Comfortable supporting and motivating a team
• Able to work well under pressure
• Confident using IT and point-of-sale systems
• Passionate about delivering an amazing customer experience
• Ambitious and keen to progress

You don’t necessarily need to have been an Assistant Branch Manager before. If you’re an experienced optical professional who feels ready to take that next step, we’d love to hear from you.
