About the Role
We are actively seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team ain the Aerospace sector. In this role, you will be pivotal in safeguarding our quality standards and ensuring compliance. You will bridge the gap between production, quality and customer to ensure that all materials and machined parts meet aerospace and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Inspection
- Perform comprehensive quality checks, including First Article Inspections (FAI) and routine assessments of components.
- Practical experience using micrometers and calipers
- Review, update, and manage engineering drawing registers, meticulously checking critical features such as grain flow, square faces, milled surfaces, and double-sided counterbores.
Non-Conformance & Problem Solving
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and generate 8D / G8D reports
- Management and control of Non-conforming product
Process Improvement
- Implement and oversee QA gates
- Conduct 6S audits across site
- Prepare the sites for major compliance assessments, including AS9100 Customer audits and internal Supplier quality audits.
Traceability, Training & Documentation
- Ensure rigorous material traceability of Certificates of Conformity (CoC)
- Develop training documentation and lead stand-downs/briefings to train machine operators on QA processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards, specifically AS9100 and EN9102.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Understanding of machining operations and a basic awareness of G-code.
- Advantageous to have working knowledge of problem-solving methodologies (Root Cause Analysis, 6 Sigma).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently liaise with machine operators, management, and major international clients.
