Location: Bristol
Reports to: Sales Manager
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 & Bonus
Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and driven Internal Sales Account Manager to join our growing team. This is a highly proactive sales role focused on developing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth within the construction sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts while actively engaging customers through outbound calls, customer reviews, lead generation, and sales campaigns. This is not an order-taking position; we are looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and consistently exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities of this Internal Sales Account Manager

• Manage and develop a portfolio of existing construction industry accounts.
• Proactively contact customers to identify upcoming projects, requirements, and sales opportunities.
• Generate new business through outbound prospecting and lead follow-up activities.
• Build strong relationships with contractors, builders, developers, merchants, and other construction sector customers.
• Prepare quotations and follow up to maximise conversion rates.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
• Work closely with external sales teams and operational departments to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity within the CRM system.
• Monitor market activity, competitor developments, and industry trends.
• Achieve and exceed agreed sales, margin, and activity targets.

What We're Looking For as a Internal Sales Account Manager
Essential

• Proven sales experience in an internal sales, account management, or business development role.
• Strong commercial awareness and a proactive approach to generating sales opportunities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts effectively and prioritise workload.
• Target-driven mindset with a passion for achieving results.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable

• Experience within the construction, building materials, civils, drainage, roofing, or related sectors.
• Knowledge of construction products, projects, and procurement processes.
• Experience working with contractors, merchants, housebuilders, or specification customers.
