We're looking for a Senior Engineer – Civils to join our River Infrastructure team based in Bristol. Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor.

Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Are you…

• Experienced in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design
• Comfortable using your own judgement when managing uncertainty and technical risk
• Experienced in the design of hydraulic structures or river engineering, or similar
• A Chartered or Incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CEng MICE)
• Holding a Full driving licence

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Engineer – Civils, you'll be working within the River Infrastructure team, supporting them in delivering infrastructure projects.

You'll be supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects for clients such as the Environment Agency, Severn Trent, and Mining Remediation Authority.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable managing technical challenges, leading day-to-day workloads, and providing solutions that are safe, buildable, and aligned with our clients' objectives. This role offers the chance to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, helping to deliver innovative and effective solutions within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Your day to day will include:

• Reviewing and agreeing technical requirements of the client remit, ensuring it is fully understood
• Organising and leading the day-to-day workload of engineers and technical staff within the design team
• Ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements and Company policies/procedures, including CDM Regulations and design Quality Management System
• Contributing to the financial and commercial management of projects such as progress monitoring and change control
• Delivering alternative solutions and value engineering, enhancing Kier's competitive position
