Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for an experienced Officer to join our client based in Bristol. This role is offered on a full time, hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.
The Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, supporting senior leadership engagement, monitoring external developments, and ensuring insights are effectively shared across the organisation.
The duties of the Communications Officer will include;
- Leading the coordination and delivery of a programme of stakeholder engagement activity, including senior leadership visits and meetings
- Supporting the planning and delivery of online and in-person events for senior external audiences Building and maintaining productive relationships with a wide range of external organisations and stakeholders
- Producing high-quality briefings for senior leaders ahead of meetings, events and stakeholder engagements
- Monitoring parliamentary and policy developments, providing concise summaries and insight to internal colleagues
- Supporting the preparation of evidence, briefing materials and background information for senior leaders
- Developing and improving systems and processes for managing stakeholder intelligence and engagement activity
- Creating engaging internal and external communications, including blogs, briefings and updates.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the wider team
The Communications Officer will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Previous experience within the public sector
- Experience preparing briefings, reports, correspondence or communications for senior audiences.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and functions
The Communications and Engagement Specialist will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
