Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to take responsibility for the planning, delivery and successful completion of projects within a growing professional services environment.
The role requires strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, together with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. The successful individual will be confident working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and will take full ownership and accountability for projects from initiation through to completion.
Our client is looking for someone who operates to high standards and has a minimum of two years’ proven experience delivering complex, high-impact projects and programmes on time and within budget. The successful candidate will demonstrate strategic thinking, strong stakeholder management and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement beyond individual projects.
Project Planning & Delivery- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and success measures in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective project plans, ensuring activities, dependencies and resources are clearly understood.
- Lead projects through all stages of the delivery lifecycle, maintaining focus on quality, timelines, budget and agreed outcomes.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing competing priorities effectively.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and promote effective collaboration across different functions and areas of expertise.
- Coordinate contributions from technical, operational, commercial and support teams to ensure successful delivery.
- Establish clear responsibilities, expectations and communication channels across project teams.
- Promote accountability, effective decision-making and a strong focus on delivery.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Provide clear and proactive communication regarding project progress, expectations, decisions and issues.
- Manage expectations effectively and resolve challenges while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Engage with senior stakeholders where appropriate to support strategic alignment and decision-making.
- Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
- Develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
- Proactively address issues and escalate significant risks where required.
- Monitor project dependencies and ensure potential impacts are identified and managed.
- Provide regular and accurate project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain appropriate project documentation, reporting and performance information.
- Monitor delivery against agreed objectives, timelines, budgets and quality standards.
- Work within established project governance and approval processes.
- Complete project reviews and capture lessons learned following delivery.
- Lead strategically significant projects or programmes involving multiple workstreams.
- Ensure project activity remains aligned with wider business objectives and customer outcomes.
- Manage interdependencies between projects and coordinate priorities across multiple teams.
- Support effective allocation and prioritisation of resources to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Support and mentor less experienced project managers and project support colleagues.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
- Share knowledge and effective project management practices across the wider team.
- Support the professional development and progression of junior team members.
- Identify trends and recurring challenges across projects.
- Recommend improvements to processes, technology, resources and ways of working.
- Promote consistent delivery standards and quality assurance.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of project management capability across the wider organisation.
- Work with relevant teams on project scoping, proposals and pre-engagement activities.
- Provide project management expertise to support complex opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to develop and strengthen existing customer relationships.
- Contribute to commercially effective delivery approaches.
- Provide leadership and operational support during periods of management absence.
- Support senior leadership with key customer meetings, project reviews and governance forums.
- Contribute to strategic discussions, performance updates, decision-making and issue resolution.
- Help maintain continuity across the wider project function.
- Minimum of two years’ proven project management experience.
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex projects or programmes involving multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability.
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.
- Strong understanding of project governance, risk management and delivery controls.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of customer relationships and business objectives.
- A proactive approach with strong personal ownership and accountability.
- Demonstrable commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality delivery.
