We're recruiting a Private Client Tax Senior Manager in Bristol on behalf of a highly respected and growing accountancy and business advisory firm.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced private client tax professional to join a specialist team, advising high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners, trusts and internationally connected clients on complex UK and cross-border tax matters.
The Role
You'll manage a high-quality portfolio of private clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services across UK and international personal tax.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage a portfolio of HNW individuals, private clients and trusts
- Advise on UK residence, domicile and international tax matters
- Provide advice on the Foreign Income and Gains (FIG) regime and temporary repatriation arrangements
- Advise on overseas income, gains, investments and property
- Provide IHT and CGT planning advice
- Support double tax relief claims and wider international tax planning
- Review complex personal tax returns involving overseas income and gains
- Advise on offshore assets, disclosures and reporting requirements
- Deal directly with clients, HMRC and professional advisers
- Prepare technical advice and written reports
- Review and support the work of junior team members
- Identify opportunities to add value and develop client relationships
About You
You'll have strong experience in UK private client tax, ideally with exposure to international and cross-border tax matters.
You'll ideally have:
- CTA qualified or equivalent
- Strong personal tax compliance and advisory experience
- Experience advising HNW individuals and internationally connected clients
- Strong knowledge of UK residence and international tax issues
- Experience dealing with foreign income, gains and offshore matters
- Knowledge of IHT and CGT planning
- Excellent technical, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience mentoring and developing junior team members
- A proactive, commercial and client-focused approach
