Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: 35-40 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Room Leader to join a welcoming nursery setting in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is committed to providing outstanding care and education while leading and inspiring a team within the nursery room.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day running of your nursery room
  • Deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS
  • Support and mentor nursery practitioners within the room
  • Plan engaging activities that promote children's learning and development
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed at all times
  • Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate records


Requirements



Essential

  • Level 5 Early Years/Childcare qualification, or
  • Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification with a minimum of 5 years' experience in an Early Years setting
  • Previous experience in a senior practitioner, room leader, or leadership capacity
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework and safeguarding practices
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A caring, proactive, and professional approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK


Desirable

  • Experience leading a nursery room
  • Experience supporting staff development and mentoring colleagues
  • Knowledge of nursery management systems and record keeping
