TSA Business Analyst – Bristol (3 days per week)

Our client, a leading UK communications organisation, is seeking an experienced TSA Business Analyst to support complex, compliance-led transformation. This is an excellent opportunity to operate at the centre of business, technology, security and regulatory delivery, turning demanding obligations into clear, practical requirements and effective change.

The opportunity

You will lead discovery and scoping activity, define business problems and customer needs, and translate insights into structured requirements, processes and delivery options. Acting as the link between business and technical teams, you will help ensure solutions are customer-focused, feasible, compliant and cost-effective.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery, scoping and options analysis across regulatory and technology change.
• Define business, functional, non-functional and data requirements, including epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Design end-to-end processes and customer journeys, including edge cases and operational impacts.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, architecture, security, compliance and service design teams.
• Produce high-quality artefacts such as process maps, capability assessments, traceability, decision logs and options papers.
• Support MVP and MMP definition, phased delivery and roadmaps.
• Manage stakeholder alignment, resolve competing needs and communicate scope and trade-offs clearly.
• Mentor other Business Analysts and contribute to improved tools, standards and ways of working.

What we’re looking for

• Strong business analysis experience across discovery, requirements definition, stakeholder mapping, process analysis and options assessment.
• Ideally, experience of the Telecoms Security Act, regulatory delivery or compliance-led change.
• Confidence working in complex technology, security and operational environments.
• A track record of producing clear, accurate analysis artefacts and maintaining requirements traceability.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively and build consensus.
• Practical experience of agile or hybrid delivery, including epics, user stories, MVP scope and phased delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication, sound judgement and close attention to detail.
