The Opportunity

A leading Tier 1 main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Lead Project Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of an exciting £18 million construction scheme in Bristol.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to take ownership of a major project and play a key role within a high-performing delivery team.

You will be responsible for driving the project from pre-construction and mobilisation through to successful completion, ensuring the highest standards of programme, quality, safety, commercial performance and client satisfaction are maintained throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of the £18m construction project.
  • Take overall responsibility for project performance and delivery.
  • Lead, motivate and manage the project team.
  • Develop, monitor and manage the construction programme.
  • Ensure key project milestones and targets are achieved.
  • Manage client, consultant, subcontractor and wider stakeholder relationships.
  • Coordinate design, procurement and construction activities.
  • Identify and proactively manage project risks and opportunities.
  • Drive health & safety, quality and environmental performance.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to manage project costs and financial performance.
  • Monitor progress and provide clear reporting to senior management.
  • Ensure the project is delivered in line with company standards, procedures and contractual requirements.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Lead Project Manager, Senior Project Manager or Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering substantial construction projects.

You should have:

  • Experience delivering projects in the £15m+ range.
  • Strong main contracting experience.
  • A proven track record of leading project teams and managing complex construction schemes.
  • Excellent programme, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Experience working for a Tier 1 contractor is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing multiple project stakeholders and supply chain partners.
  • Relevant construction qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS and/or a construction-related degree.
