Senior Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Fit Out

Bristol City Centre | £50M+ Refurbishment & Retrofit Scheme | Permanent or Fixed-Term Contract

We are working with a leading commercial fit out contractor delivering a major £50M+ refurbishment and retrofit project in Bristol City Centre, transforming a large-scale development into a high-quality modern workspace.

Due to continued project progression, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team.

This opportunity would suit a commercially driven individual with experience delivering Cat A or Cat B commercial fit out, refurbishment or retrofit projects. The client is open to considering candidates seeking either a permanent position or a fixed-term contract, depending on experience and availability.

The Role

• Managing the commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account
• Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and package awards
• Preparing and managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments
• Monitoring project costs, budgets and commercial performance
• Managing variations, change control and compensation events
• Supporting the preparation of cost reports and commercial forecasts
• Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team
• Managing commercial relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
• Supporting the resolution of contractual and commercial matters
• Contributing to the successful commercial delivery of the project

About You

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within commercial fit out, refurbishment or retrofit
• Experience delivering Cat A or Cat B projects
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
• Experience managing subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account
• Good knowledge of cost control, valuations, variations and change management
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively within a large project team
• Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
