BRC are working closely with a specialist housing provider to recruit a Property Manager to join their team. This is a field-based, customer-facing role suited to someone who is organised, confident communicating with people and comfortable working independently.
Based in Bristol, the role will involve regular travel between Portsmouth and Liverpool, managing the day-to-day movement of tenants into and out of properties, carrying out inspections, liaising with contractors and councils, and ensuring properties are managed effectively.

BRC are working closely with a specialist housing provider to recruit a Property Manager to join their team. This is a field-based, customer-facing role suited to someone who is organised, confident communicating with people and comfortable working independently.
Based in Bristol, the role will involve regular travel between Portsmouth and Liverpool, managing the day-to-day movement of tenants into and out of properties, carrying out inspections, liaising with contractors and councils, and ensuring properties are managed effectively.
Duties
- Meet and greet tenants at pre-arranged times and provide property inductions, including showing tenants the facilities.
- Conduct check-out reports and collect keys when tenants vacate properties.
- Carry out periodic property inspections and report any issues back to Head Office.
- Deal confidently and compassionately with complex and vulnerable clients.
- Work independently in a lone-working environment while maintaining a flexible approach.
- Allow access to properties for contractors and councils.
- Record meter readings and facilitate meter top-ups where required.
- Follow daily instructions from the office to ensure tasks are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
- Conduct property viewings when required as part of the process of taking on new properties.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all relevant reporting and compliance procedures are followed.
- Support the wider team with property-related duties as required.
- Travel regularly between Portsmouth and Liverpool to support the delivery of the role.
Requirements
- Previous experience in property management, housing, accommodation, lettings or a similar customer-facing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident dealing with a wide range of people, including vulnerable individuals.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong time-management and prioritisation skills.
- Comfortable working independently and undertaking lone-working responsibilities.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Strong commitment to compliance and following processes.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a private vehicle for business use.
- Comfortable with extensive travel across the UK, particularly between Portsmouth and Liverpool.
- Enhanced DBS/Disclosure required for the position.
