Our client is a large and well-established organisation seeking an experienced HR Services Officer to join their HR team. The organisation supports a diverse workforce across multiple locations and offers a collaborative environment where HR plays a key role in supporting business operations and employee experience.

Your new role
As an HR Services Officer, you will provide first-line HR advice and administrative support across a broad range of HR processes. Working within a busy HR Services team, you will support a dedicated employee population whilst contributing to wider HR projects and initiatives.Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing professional and timely HR advice to managers and employees.
  • Supporting recruitment activities, including applicant tracking systems and liaison with hiring teams.
  • Preparing offer letters, contracts of employment and contractual amendments.
  • Managing a range of employee life cycle processes, including promotions, secondments, family leave, sickness absence and other employment changes.
  • Processing payroll changes accurately and supporting monthly payroll activities.
  • Assisting with occupational health administration.
  • Responding to employment-related information requests while maintaining GDPR compliance.
  • Producing HR data and reports to support business requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring data integrity across HR systems.
  • Building effective relationships with key stakeholders and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working within a customer-focused HR environment.
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a team to deliver excellent service.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in English and Maths.

Desirable experience includes:

  • HR transactional administration, including contractual changes, family leave administration and payroll-related processes.
  • Experience using HR and payroll systems.
  • CIPD Foundation Certificate (or working towards an HR qualification).
