Data Protection Manager role with a leading UK business (where personal data is key)

Bristol HQ (Hybrid 2 days per week) so cummutable from from a host of areas, Worcs, Cheltenham, Glos, Bath, Cardiff, Swindon etc.
Salary c.£60,000

Working with a well known brand is a fast paced sector looking hire a Data Protection Manager to join the in-house legal, risk and compliance function.

As one of 4 in the DP sub division (but a wider team of 10+), you will provide specialist advice across the wider Group and monitor on-going compliance and regulatory changes, acting as a true business partner on key projects and initiatives

The Data Protection Manager role will include

- Governance and Compliance
- Data Breaches and Incident Management
- Data Subject Rights and Complaints
- Risk Management
- On-going training and process improvement plans
- External ICO and Regulatory engagement

We are keen to hear from those with proven experience in a data protection, privacy or compliance role, gained in the private sector. You will have strong working knowledge of UK regulation, key concepts, handling breaches, managing SAR's, conducting reviews and rolling out training.

With relevant qualifications, you will ideally be used to working closely with in-house legal and risk teams, enjoy building relationships and comfortable working in a fast-paced business where the ability to prioritise will be key.

Given the current structure, importance of DP and the profile of the role, there is a genuine path for rapid progression across more senior and/or DPO roles.
