We're working with a specialist technology consultancy delivering bespoke software solutions across complex Central Government projects.

They're looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with strong Java experience to join an Agile delivery team, working on interesting and technically challenging projects with real-world impact.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you'll be involved across the full software development lifecycle, from initial requirements and architecture through to development, testing, deployment and ongoing support.

You'll have the opportunity to work with a broad range of modern technologies and contribute to the delivery of secure, high-quality software solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing and testing bespoke software solutions
  • Working across the full software development lifecycle
  • Developing applications using Java, TypeScript, JavaScript and React
  • Working with open-source libraries, frameworks and components
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab
  • Deploying applications across AWS, Azure and private cloud environments
  • Contributing to technical architecture and solution design
  • Working within Agile development teams
  • Engaging directly with customers and stakeholders
  • Supporting and mentoring other engineers where appropriate
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer with strong commercial experience across:

  • Java
  • TypeScript
  • JavaScript
  • React
  • AWS and/or Azure
  • Agile software development
  • CI/CD and modern development practices

Previous consultancy experience would be beneficial, but isn't essential.

Experience working on Central Government or other security-sensitive projects would also be advantageous.
