Principal Modelling & Simulation Engineer

What You Will Do as Principal Modelling & Simulation Engineer:

- Lead the development of system and vehicle-level models, including plant and control algorithms.

- Define modelling approaches, requirements, and verification strategies to drive confidence in outputs.

- Own delivery of technical activities or work packages end-to-end, from planning through to presentation.

- Present results and technical outputs clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

- Support and mentor junior engineers, helping bring structure and clarity to complex problems.

- Contribute to planning, task definition, and delivery prioritisation to keep momentum and deadlines on track.

What You Will Bring as Principal Modelling & Simulation Engineer:

• Strong experience with Matlab and Simulink-based modelling and simulation, with the ability to model complex dynamic systems
• Understanding of control systems, system performance modelling, and vehicle dynamics, alongside multi-domain simulation exposure
• Demonstrable experience with advanced control techniques such as Kalman filtering and state estimation
• Exposure to real-time modelling or code generation using Matlab, including auto coding and C/C++ where relevant
