Corporate M&A / Deals Tax Manager

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum (GBP)
Job Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all tax aspects of corporate M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and post-deal integration.
- Provide commercial-focused tax advice to senior stakeholders on deal strategy, financing, and risk management.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, and business teams to ensure tax efficiency and compliance throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Manage the preparation and review of tax filings, disclosures, and reporting associated with M&A activities.
- Monitor and interpret changes in UK tax legislation and assess their impact on current and future deals.
- Develop and maintain robust tax models to evaluate deal economics and identify potential tax savings.
- Mentor and supervise junior tax staff, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.
- Represent the organisation in external negotiations and liaise with tax authorities, advisers, and auditors as required.
- Qualified tax professional (e.g., Chartered Tax Adviser – CTA) or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax, capital gains tax, and international tax principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple high-value transactions simultaneously.
- Proficiency in tax research tools, Excel modelling, and relevant tax software.
- 5–7 years of experience in tax advisory or in-house tax roles focusing on M&A and deal structuring.
- Proven track record of delivering tax-efficient solutions in complex corporate transactions.
- Experience within a professional services firm, multinational corporation, or private-equity environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional project teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
- International exposure or experience with cross-border transactions is a plus.
