Salary: £40,000-£50,000 DOE

Summary:
We are recruiting for an experienced Depot Manager to lead a busy, fast-paced parcel operation based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on operational leader who has a proven background within the parcels sector and thrives in a time-critical environment.
You'll be responsible for the overall performance of the depot, ensuring operational excellence, outstanding customer service, and a highly engaged workforce while delivering against key commercial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operation of a high-volume parcel depot
• Manage warehouse and transport activities to ensure service and productivity targets are achieved
• Drive operational performance through effective leadership and people development
• Monitor and improve KPIs, including productivity, service levels, quality, cost, and compliance
• Manage budgets and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce costs
• Ensure all Health & Safety and transport compliance standards are met
• Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
• Develop and coach frontline managers and operational teams
• Maintain excellent relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
• Lead operational change and implement best practice across the depot

Key Skills/Experience:

• Proven experience as a Depot Manager or Operations Manager within the parcel industry
• Strong understanding of high-volume parcel operations
• Experience managing warehouse and transport functions
• A hands-on leader who leads by example and enjoys being visible within the operation
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and operational KPIs
• Excellent people management and leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
• Experience managing operational change and driving continuous improvement
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to make decisions in a fast-moving, time-sensitive environment
