Service Engineer

Location: Home Based - Covering the UK

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 + Overtime + Benefits Package + Company Car

Days Based - Monday to Friday

The Company

My client is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of turnkey machinery automation solutions to a wide variety of industries. The company has been established for over 100 years and is part of a larger group worldwide; they have become a centre of excellence within automated process machinery to a variety of industries, including the FMCG industry. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit an additional field service engineer, with electrical service and commissioning experience.

Key Skills

• Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical or Mechanical
• Experience of PLC’s & Automated Machinery
• Understanding of PPM systems

The Role

• Responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of injection moulding machines and automation systems at customer sites.
• This customer facing role requires strong technical skills and excellent communication.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving under pressure.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• UK based service engineer, ideally located in the Midlands or further south as they do have key clients in Southampton and Plymouth.
• There will be training in Switzerland, 2, 10 week bocks which can be split up. You will initially be shadowing engineers.
• Ideally have experience in the plastics industry, but they will look at people from other industries
• Ideally electrical bias engineer and be willing to travel during the week and stay in hotels.
