An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join a growing and forward-thinking Top 20 accountancy and advisory business. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality management accounting services across a Built-to-Rent (BTR) residential property portfolio.


As Management Accountant, you'll take ownership of end-to-end bookkeeping and the preparation of accurate, timely management accounts. You'll work closely with senior management, property teams, asset managers and investors, providing valuable financial insight to support business performance and decision-making.

Your role as a Management Accountant:


  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
  • Deliver detailed variance analysis and provide commercial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Act as the main finance contact for senior stakeholders, property managers and external partners.
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, process financial transactions and complete balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities and SPVs.
  • Reconcile rental income, monitor arrears, voids and incentives, and investigate tenant billing discrepancies.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning, identifying opportunities to improve financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, assist with audits and tax reporting, and contribute to continuous process improvements.


What you'll need to succeed:


  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be actively studying towards qualification).
  • Previous experience in management accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using financial systems.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Experience within residential property, real estate or the Built-to-Rent sector would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of rent rolls, service charges and property performance metrics is desirable.
